Church Accompanist (Pianist)<\/p>\n
Responsibilities: The Church Accompanist, under direction of the Minister of Music,
\u2022 will be present to accompany Wednesday evening Sanctuary Choir, ensembles, and\/or soloists in rehearsal.
\u2022 will accompany the instrumental ensemble and children\u2019s choir as needed.
\u2022 will be present on Sunday mornings for the worship service, playing for the anthem (piano) the congregational hymns, joining the band for worship songs, and accompanying any special groups for that day.
\u2022 will play for occasional special services as needed, such as church fellowships, a Holy Week service, or a Christmas program on a Sunday afternoon or evening.
\u2022 may be asked to play at funerals, weddings, or other services on a per diem basis.
Hours: Weekly schedule would typically be 6 hours, with other periodic services requiring 1-2 hours per event. Practice time away from church expected, as needed.<\/p>\n
Education: Music Degree in keyboard is preferred but not required.<\/p>\n
Experience: Several years of working with choirs is preferred.<\/p>\n
