I’m New
Welcome to the online home of First Baptist Church!
Here at FBC, you will find a thriving congregation in the heart of historic downtown Wilson, North Carolina, committed to creating engaging worship, community service, global missions, spiritual development, and the making of disciples of Jesus Christ.
We gather at 311 Nash Street North (just a few blocks from Barton College, the Whirligig Park, and the new Foundation YMCA of Wilson).
We offer three expressions of worship on Sunday mornings,
along with Sunday school at 9:45 AM.
8:45 AM
in our Fellowship Hall (entrance on Daniel Street), we have a less formal, more modern worship service, where worship is led by our worship band. Some might call this service “contemporary” or “casual.”
11:00 AM
in our Sanctuary, we gather for a more formal style of worship, where worship is led by a robed choir, our pipe organ, and robed clergy. Some might call this service “traditional” or “formal.”
11:00 AM
en nuestra Área de Adultos Mayores es nuestro servicio en español./ 11:00 AM in our Senior Adult Area is our Spanish language service.
*Childcare is available for each service.
On Sunday evenings, we offer opportunities for children and youth.
5:00-7:00 PM
(during the school year) in the Small Dining Room is Missions & Music (M&M’s) for school-aged children.
Supper is provided, followed by a mission education and music, including a mixture of singing and playing instruments as our children rehearse to lead us in worship!
5:30-7:00 PM
on the Third Floor our Youth gather for supper, worship, and Bible study.
There are scheduled outings throughout the year as well.
Wednesday evenings
On Wednesday evenings in the Fellowship Hall, we serve dinner at 5:30 PM, followed by Bible Study at 6:00 PM and Choir Rehearsal at 6:30 PM in the Choir Room.
